THE ROAD TO SUCCESS: YOUR DESTINY IS IN YOUR HAND - Michael Emmanuel D. and Bala Benjamin H.

Image
Success by definition means "achieving your set goals, objectives and potential in life". There are no shortcuts to greatness in life. The journey on the road to success is a risk one must take, it is how we set up our motives and struggle to make it in life. This road is so coarse and bumpy that we have to be wise and not get weary along the way. If we must make it, we must apply wisdom to strive in our journey to ensure we always move forward and not backward in life. The road to success is built upon determination, handwork, discipline and diligence. Every individual on this planet earth has a purpose and the hunger to achieve great things in life. We have dreams to be accomplished and fulfilled. This blossom dream won’t come completely easy as we anticipate. We have limited time in this life and if we must make it, we need to use this time wisely. Our set goals define our priorities, our fashion and our actions. They help us impose voluntary discipline, sacrifice an

"All animals are equal But some animals are more equal that the others" Contents of a little book A sentence with a never ending root A relativity that can never be overemphasized How my nation is aware of it's current state Yet enjoys the shackles of oppression How we constantly complain of depression But when its time to choose We deliberately develop dementia Forgetting our pain, Our hunger Our sorrows Forgetting how neglected we were All for temporary little coupons To recycle the same old representatives Who are obviously more equal than the others All for democracy Power to the people But power to a more equal selected few Our food is sour But we chew with smiles on our faces Suffering and smiling Loving the shackles on our hands and feets Joining black lives matter campaigns Yet still being slaves to fellow black lives Mental slavery!! Enticing you with promises Yet allowing miscreants, To massacre you Rape your children Kidnap your folks Still they keep your hopes

Life Is Mysterious by Michael Matthew

Get set! Don't be rowdy, because life is cloudy. Cool are the days to come, no one knows the sum. Listen, life is mysterious! As deluded this day life has become, full of evil, The mindset of humans have been enslaved Under control by the forces of darkness. The race has become fierce in an uncontrollable progression. Life is, but an empty dream! The soul that slumbers, is nothing but dead. Things are not what they seem. The challenges of life, has made most screened imaginations bound. we need to be consecrated. Your life speaks of who you are, we afar from what we are. Who do you think you are? An existing being, confused of humanity, claiming Christianity? Do you really know what you’re worth When you receive Christ into your life? Life is a succession of choices. A choice to receive eternal life, and a choice of eternal damnation. The world seem to dominate life, because life is inferior, we need superiori

The Storm of Addiction by Peter Salama Tisan

Someone must have talked you into doing this, or you got into it yourself - and the first time you tried it, it was nice and cool and you enjoyed it. It was something that pleased you, so you kept on doing it. But right inside of you, you knew what you were doing was wrong and then, you began to feel that this whole thing is stealing from you gradually some things that you value but you can't just place your hands on what is being stolen, so you decided to push away this feeling that seem to be a danger signal and continued in this path. Now you can clearly see what this has stolen from you; it stole the relationships you worked hard to build with the people who genuinely love you, it stole your success, your finances, your health, your peace, your joy and most importantly - it stole your life. You willingly opened your heart to this enemy who disguised to be a friend and a solution to all you problems. Right now, you really want to let this enemy out, but it won

What is Love By Edokpa Ephraim Esoche

There was once a question that brushed my friend's heart, although he couldn't respond to it. "What can you say about love when you've never experience, known, or been into love?" He was shocked to hear that Someone like me had never been in a romantic relationship. It made me laugh as I replied - "Do you truly understand what love is?" Astonished he asked, "What is Love? "God is love" I replied, all he does is love and care. "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:8 Love is the Fruit of the Spirit Love is in us, all we need is demonstrate and exercise this love. Love is the summary of Paul's first epistolary message to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 13). There's no doubt that love is Agape Which is the unconditional and purest kind of love. It is the kind of love from mother to child, this love is pure, true, perfect and real. The Agape Love is

"EXCEPT A GRAIN OF WHEAT..." By Peter Salama Tisan

"EXCEPT A GRAIN OF WHEAT..." By Peter Salama Tisan  He opened His palm again, And looked at His Precious grain,   His grain of wheat. This grain  He loves so much, And will not trade it for anything. But He knew that the real life of this    grain, lies in it being a seed, And that the beginning of its destiny   is being in the earth. Considering the deadly experiences His    grain would go through in the earth, He is resentful. But certainly, there would be the emergence    of a new life. Also the bountiful harvest of more precious   grains of wheat. So He opens the earth, And plants the seed - His grain    of wheat.  He left.  So the seed coat begins to rip off The seed gradually dies, And finally it gave up the ghost. But the EMBRYO, the beginning of a new life, never dies. This new sprout goes down to earth   first,  It fights until it is rooted and established  in the earth.

ECHO By Akinyemi Mary Stephanie

Echo O wonder soul O broken heart Searching   where you belong Moving to and fro Looking north and west But no place to call home You wonder the whole earth in circles Searching for a place to call your own but nothing to atone nothing   to calls to you And you wonder Am I alone on this earth? That’s when You hear the still voice call And then it feels like you’ve found it Something snatches it from you and then you’re back to the beginning Moving in circuit Finding a place you belong About the poet Akinyemi Mary Stephanie is a writer and literary critic and counselor.
