 PURITY

Your body is the temple of God . Most of us don't know the impact of this verse.  We don't even mind  how important it is  that every aspect that has to do with your body  remain pure just so that God can occupy.  OK, just keep on doing it, how do you expect Him to react? 



Take a look at your toothbrush.  Most of us value our toothbrush  more than even what we eat, How much more then with God?   How would you react if your roommate accidentally use your toothbrush One morning?

Two Elderly couple were having a conversation. The husband asked the wife how she was able to cope with his annoying attitude all through the fifty five years of their marriage. She said, "whenever you annoy me, I always go and wash the toilet." He asked, "how does that help?" And she replied, "because I use your tooth brush". Imagine you were that man, what would be your reaction?  That is purity. You value your tooth brush to an extent that any impurity will discourage you from using it. 



Take a look at a bottled water for instance.  If you were thirsty and went to the shop to buy a bottle of water and then the moment you were about drinking it you saw some beautiful nutritious stuffs swimming about in it.  Why not swallow it?  Why did you just have to throw it out? 



You have used duck tape before.  So let's say you wanted to wrap a special package for someone and then the duck tape accidentally stuck the wrong way,  when you take it off  and try to place it the right way,  it won't stick the way you want it to.  Same when dust sticks on it.  You will have to use another one.





God wants to stick with you, but because you have stuck yourself with the wrong things, wrong relationships, and the wrong people,  you cannot stick to him again the way you ought to. That's why your life is in this mess. 



You might be enjoying the gains it brings  but I will like you to remember  that anything outside God has no purpose ; when you keep chasing it, it becomes vanity, vanity is sin. Impurity cannot sync with God because anything that is not Godly is sin and sin itself is a direct slap on the face of God.



I do not mean to drag you into breaking up that relationship,  I'm do not mean to lecture you on the dangers of premarital sex Nor even stop you from sexual sin and anything that causes impurity on your body.  I mean to challenge your spirit. Look deep into your conscience. And ask yourself these questions : Are all these things pure? Would you do it in the open? Would you do it before God? I mean if He was spotted here because he is, If you could see Him eye to eye I know you could, Would you do it? 



I don't know how deep or how far you've gone,  I don't want to know the things that you've done,  I don't know the point you've reached,  the decisions you've taken or what you want to do.  I Want to tell you that there is still hope.  Listen to it, it calls you.  Let Jesus take it all.  Unlike dumping you like you would to that dirty toothbrush brush, He will not throw you out like the dirty water neither would He replace you with another sole tape.  Rather, He will crush you, break you and refine you,  He will have to try you and burn you in the fire And then remould you till you  become, that perfect masterpiece,  an innate image of Himself just  how he wants you to be.



Is it the treasures, love, care and affection? Is it the romance? He created them all Jesus asks you to come, Come and sup directly from the source.   It will hurt trying to get back on the right road, but then know that you will never remain the same again.
